Our History
Since our founding in 2020, we have been committed to integrating high technology with art, empowering student volunteers to serve the community in innovative ways and create a better future. Our journey began with high school students optimizing the mask donation process through ER diagram design and database management. Today, we bring unique audiovisual experiences to the community through Chatbots, the "AI for All" project, and Projection Mapping technology. Over the past four years, we have successfully nurtured four cohorts of outstanding high school students. While mastering advanced technologies, they have also gained a deeper understanding of how to merge technology with art to make a tangible impact on society. At the core of the Youth STEAM Initiative is our mission to integrate innovative technologies—such as AI and Projection Mapping—with artistic expression, enabling student volunteers to serve the community with creativity and hands-on practice. Looking ahead, we will continue to drive more technology-driven public service projects, working alongside the community to embrace a new era where technology and art intertwine.

Future Leaders for America Award 2021

Professor Ding Wei led nine students of the Youth STEAM Initiative to initiate different public welfare projects during the COVID-19 pandemic for the residents of Lexington Town. Their achievements, covering all ages, were recognized by the community, which included a commendation from the Lexington Chinese Association, media reports from the local newspaper Lexington Minuteman, and a letter of commendation from school district superintendent Dr. Hackett. Their efforts were also appreciated by the Civic Leadership Academy jury when it was awarded a joint first place with over 50 national projects in the 2021 Civic Leadership Institute. Their professional skills and philanthropic dedication played no small role in Lexington's improvement.
